A Paper Phoenix Always Rises

January 8 - March 6, 2026

The Pollinator Art Space is pleased to announce the group exhibition A PAPER PHOENIX ALWAYS RISES. This exhibition brings five artists all who utilize paper as a core medium in their practice. Each artist comes to this exhibition with expertise in their artistic practice and we are delighted to showcase their work. Paper as a medium connotes certain limitations in the artistic realm; the fragility, impermanence, and yet its resilience through the ages is remarkable. We visited the Georgia Tech Paper Museum earlier this year and were overwhelmed with the technical aspect and the creativity that expounds from the history of paper making. This by no means is an exhibit that explores all realms of paper in its artistic capacity, but these Atlanta artists use paper in expressive ways all the while exploring intimate moments and universal

experiences. It is also important to know that two of the artists were part of the horrific tragedy at South River Studios where their work was exhibited and the space had no insurance, thus all their work was lost to the fire. They truly represent phoenixes rising. Help us celebrate their

resilience!

Hannah Adair uses etching, chine collé with hand made paper diving into the realm of the micro world. Chloe Alexander uses many forms of printmaking incorporating photographic elements and collage in her works to find personal moments of self care in meditative moments. Terri Dilling explores cyanotype with the art of chemical experimentation and gold leaf in a variety of ways that are ethereal and whimsical by draping paper on wooden dowels. Ciel Rodriguez ponders the phases of the moon in wood cut relief, collage with embedded plant materials and hand made paper. Chip Moody uses photography capturing timeless moments of nature and has a history of a narrative photographic practice exploring Black culture.
